Young Adult Work Weekend & Fundraiser

Pastors, Members and Friends,

Most of us love Brush Creek, We love being at Brush Creek, We want to see everyone at Brush Creek, and many of us have been discussing a program since July. It is time for the Young Adults plan to start and we hope you will promote the events and participate, help, and enjoy each other’s company.

Here is our bold plan:

On October 16, 17 & 18 the Young Adults will gather for a Work Weekend that will consist of several different projects to clean up the campgrounds, raise funds for the campgrounds and enrich our lives, and help build things for the future. Let us break it down further:

On Friday the 16th the young adults will come to the campgrounds anytime after 5:00 p.m. We will have chili and other items for those who arrive for supper. We will prepare our work details. We will be cutting, splitting, hauling and stacking firewood from the down trees on the grounds. We will be repairing the campfire site fire box. Plus we will have several small projects across the campgrounds. If you have a chain saw and/or log splitter that you can bring, please let Mike Hodge know. Also if you have project ideas, please let Mike know.

On Saturday the 17th after breakfast we will continue the work details and start a few more. After lunch the real fun starts. We will prepare for our Spaghetti Supper fundraiser, Trivia Night Fundraiser. These events on Saturday are for all friends of Brush Creek Campgrounds, All Ages!

The Spaghetti Supper starts at 5:00 p.m. and the Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. We need to invite people and get their reservations for this event. So the work starts early as we need to promote the fundraiser. We are trying to get at least one team from each congregation and Hopefully More!

Camp Directors please try to get a table together from your camp. I have attached the flier for your information and use, please promote it! After the Trivia Night we will have a 30 minute worship service. (The Trivia Night, Spaghetti Supper, & Worship are for everyone - all ages)

Finally on Sunday Morning we will have breakfast, a worship service and finish the rest of our projects before heading home.
