Reconciliation: a call from God to us, His children, to rebuild broken relationships with each other and with Him.

Every one of us has encountered a broken relationship in some part of our life's history.

Sometimes it occurs between us and our parents, and we've let it drag on for TOO long, holding on to the hurts, anger, frustration and fear that eat away at us, and prevent us from trying to talk about and resolve the problem in our relationship.  Sometimes the separation occurs between us and our children, and again, we "hope" that someday it will "fix itself".  Sometimes our brokenness occurs with our spouse -- a crack in the marriage relationship that we're not sure how to fix.  Sometimes it is within the extended family -- or with neighbors, or co-workers, or any other person that has passed through our life's experience, with whom we have experienced a disagreement, separation, or some other form of broken relationship.

God's plan for eternal life depends on a people who have developed the ability and willingness to work and "fix" broken relationships.  As you are struggling with and improving the relationships in this life, you are preparing yourself to be more comfortable and happy in the next life.  That's why reconciliation is SO important.  Jesus wants to help you through this process.   That's why the church offers a variety of ministries and ministers who can help you work through the reconciliation process in your life.

This process of reconciliation is necessary for YOU, before you will be comfortable living in the presence of Jesus Christ, both in this life and in eternity.   The Community of Christ offers you a world-wide community-focused foundation of loving, accepting people who represent Jesus Christ to the best of their ability, and invite you to participate in the life-long journey toward Peace, Reconciliation, and Healing of the Spirit.

Contact a Community of Christ Congregation around the Illinois area, or in over 50 nations around the world, to begin to explore the path toward reconciliation.  You can also visit our Evangelist page -- one of the MANY ways that our ministries can help in the always necessary reconciliation process!
