Larry McGuire
 |
Larry M. McGuire is a member of the seventy. During the 2010 World
Conference he was set apart as president of the Fourth Quorum of
Seventy. He is the field missionary coordinator for the Northeast USA
Mission Field.
His past assignments include assignments to Cedar Valley-Nauvoo USA
Mission Center, North Central States Region, and the East Central States
Region.
Larry received a bachelor of arts from
Graceland College, Lamoni, Iowa,
and an master of arts in religion from Park College, Parkville,
Missouri. He served as director of the Urban Ministry Center in Chicago,
Illinois, and represented Community of Christ in a number of
community-based organizations. |
He co-chaired the Chicago Faith Initiative, was a member of the boards of
directors for Homeless on the Move for Equality (HOME), Interfaith Council for
the Homeless, and the Dollars and Democracy Project.
Community of Christ has 250,000 members in more than 50 nations. The church’s
mission is to “proclaim Jesus Christ and promote communities of joy, hope, love,
and peace.”
