Carolyn Brock
Carolyn graduated from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, Oregon, in 1978 with a master of nursing degree. She also received a master of transpersonal studies in January 2007 from Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California, and a certificate from Methodist (Upper Room) Academy of Spiritual Formation two year study program in 1998. A native of Bend, Oregon, Carolyn is married to David Brock and they have one daughter, Emily. Carolyn’s hobbies include walking, music, cultures, and writing. She received the Elbert A. Smith Award for writing and is the author of church publications. Carolyn lived in Africa for five years. She has taught health care and spirituality topics in Africa, Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, England, Holland, Honduras, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Tahiti, and the United States. Community of Christ has 250,000 members in more than 50 nations. The church’s mission is to “proclaim Jesus Christ and promote communities of joy, hope, love, and peace.” Community of Christ International Headquarters is located in Independence, Missouri. |
