Purpose Driven Life

On Wednesday, January 7, 2004, we began the study of "The Purpose Driven Life", by Rick Warren.  What a marvelous evening! 

Everyone was so exciting about the first week, and are looking forward to each new week.  Last week, we had 34 in attendance, with a certainly that more will begin in the weeks to come.  This number doesn't include the number of members who are doing the study at home because of small children or other reasons.  There are accommodations for the children who are coming with their parents.

At least oneofour members has purchased the study book, and has given it to all four of his grown children, who live all over the United States.  We are doing only one chapter per week, because of the amount of discussion that is taking place.  These discussions range from our feelings or questions that have been generated from a statement, whether it be from the book, or by a  a member of the study group.

People are driving from Illiopolis, Niantic, Decatur, Long Creek, Effingham, Springfield, Riverton, Lincoln, Mt. Zion, and Macon, to be a part of the sharing.

We have noticed that just in the past few days, when we are visiting with each other, whether it be in each other's homes, or dinner in a restaurant, the conversation seems to come around to the class study.  We are just thrilled.  One of the members who told of some concerns last Wednesday night, by Sunday morning at church testified that he had already began to see some light.
